Tool 07
One page. Nothing from their website.
Every battlecard you have used was assembled from the competitor's own marketing — their positioning, their claimed differentiators, a G2 quote someone liked. That is why they go stale in a fortnight and why reps stop trusting them: the source was never checkable in the first place.
This one is assembled from filings. It is shorter than the one you have, it will not tell you their tagline, and it can only be built for companies that file. What it will do is survive being questioned in the room.
Any US filer works. Companies an editor has hand-read produce a fuller card; the rest produce a shorter one that says exactly what is missing.
A card is a snapshot. The filing that breaks it lands on a Tuesday.
Everything above was true on the day the filing was made. The useful version of this is knowing when the next one contradicts it — which is what the weekly issue is, and what the Wire watches for.
The weekly brief.
Ten signals, every claim linked to its document.
What this card deliberately does not contain
Tell us where the card was thin.
The most useful reply is a company where the card came back empty and shouldn't have, or a question it generated that would have embarrassed you in a live call.
