Day91
Battlecard

Tool 07

One page. Nothing from their website.

Every battlecard you have used was assembled from the competitor's own marketing — their positioning, their claimed differentiators, a G2 quote someone liked. That is why they go stale in a fortnight and why reps stop trusting them: the source was never checkable in the first place.

This one is assembled from filings. It is shorter than the one you have, it will not tell you their tagline, and it can only be built for companies that file. What it will do is survive being questioned in the room.

Pick

Any US filer works. Companies an editor has hand-read produce a fuller card; the rest produce a shorter one that says exactly what is missing.

What this card deliberately does not contain

Their positioning Not a primary document. If you want to know how they describe themselves, read their homepage — and run it through The Mirror, which at least dates what it found.
Win/loss reasons Nobody discloses these. Any tool that shows them is showing you a survey of your own reps, which is a useful thing you should not confuse with a fact about the competitor.
Private companies No filings, no card. Two thirds of the companies you compete with are in this category and no amount of AI changes it. For those, The Mirror and The Diff are what exist.
A recommendation on how to beat them The card tells you what their own documents say and what to ask. Which of those matters in your deal is a judgement about your deal, and you have more information about that than any filing does.

Tell us where the card was thin.

The most useful reply is a company where the card came back empty and shouldn't have, or a question it generated that would have embarrassed you in a live call.
