Questions

The short answers.

Why is everything free?

We're still building and testing the method. Free use tells us what's useful and what breaks, and every mistake people find makes the data better.

Where does the data come from?

Company filings with the SEC, public pricing pages, and Internet Archive copies of those pages. We store facts with a link to the document they came from, labelled Reported (stated by the company) or Calculated (worked out by us). How we source.

Will you charge?

Probably, for teams, later. When we do, we'll say so here and in the Monday brief at least 30 days ahead, and no one is charged without choosing to be.

When do partnerships and the API open?

Soon, but we'd rather not promise a date we might miss. Join the list and you'll be the first to know. Progress is logged in the Lab Notes.
